pratikqr

For pratikqr we built a dashboard where venues can publish their menu in minutes, and multilingual QR menus that open instantly on guests' phones. A new landing page lifted both trial sign-ups and the trial-to-paid rate.

Starting point

Needs and goals

Restaurants and cafés update their prices often, and printed menus can't keep up. The first version of pratikqr did the job, but the dashboard was cluttered, menus loaded slowly and language support for international guests was limited.

The goal was a simple dashboard that owners could use without any technical knowledge, paired with a fast, readable menu for guests. A new landing page that explains the product and makes signing up for a trial easier was also in scope.

Goals
  • Menu set-up in minutes
  • QR menus that open instantly on a phone
  • Multilingual menus from one dashboard
  • A landing page that drives trial sign-ups
Approach

How we worked

  1. 01

    Venue interviews

We spoke with restaurant and café owners of different sizes to understand how they update their menus.

  2. 02

    Dashboard redesign

We simplified editing categories, items and prices with drag and drop and inline editing.

  3. 03

    Performance-first menu

We rewrote the guest menu as a lightweight, cached page.

  4. 04

    Landing page and onboarding

We created a landing page that explains the product with examples and a welcome flow that guides users through their first menu.

Outcome

After launch

The rewritten guest menu opens in under a second on phones, and venues can publish their menus in four languages. The simpler dashboard means the first menu takes less time to set up.

With the new landing page, monthly trial sign-ups grew by around 34%. The step-by-step welcome flow helped trial users actually publish their menus, and the trial-to-paid rate rose by 19%.

Next, we are testing table ordering and call-the-waiter features with pilot venues.
