Lightsoft

We turned Lightsoft's scattered product and solution information into a well-organised catalogue that can be browsed by sector and need. With a short quote flow on every product page and solid technical SEO, the site is now an active tool for the sales team.

Starting point

Needs and goals

Lightsoft offers a wide range of barcode printers, handheld terminals, scanners and software solutions. On the old site, products sat in one long list, technical specs were buried in PDF files and search engines could barely see any of it.

The aim was to help visitors reach the right solution quickly, both by product type and by sector, such as retail, warehousing or manufacturing. Quote requests also needed to reach the sales team together with the relevant product details, and catalogue pages needed to become visible in organic search.

Goals
  • Bring products and solutions into one clear catalogue
  • Solution pages by sector
  • Quote requests that arrive with product context
  • Organic visibility through technical SEO
Approach

How we worked

  1. 01

    Catalogue inventory

We listed every product, model and solution and defined their shared attribute fields.

  2. 02

    Information architecture

We designed a two-axis structure linking product categories with sector solutions.

  3. 03

    Design and build

We built fast templates that present technical information in readable tables and comparisons.

  4. 04

    Technical SEO and launch

Structured data, clean URLs and a redirect map let us migrate the site without losing rankings.

Outcome

After launch

Moving technical content onto the page and cleaning up the URL structure lifted organic sessions by around 38% over six months. Catalogue pages load in 2.1 seconds on mobile, and single-page sessions on product pages fell by 24%.

The quote form now carries product details automatically, which helps sales respond faster; completed quote requests rose by 29% per month. Visitors also reach the right solution more directly through the sector pages.

We keep extending the catalogue's organic reach with use-case examples and sector guides.
